Cookies Policy
This policy explains how humaven uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage.
The short version
humaven does not use advertising or tracking cookies today. We only store what the site needs to work: your sign-in and your saved answers.
What we use
- hv_session cookie (strictly necessary): keeps you signed in to your humaven account on this device. It holds a random identifier, can't be read by scripts, and lasts up to one year or until you sign out.
- Local storage (strictly necessary): saves your answers (name, email, field, skills, experience and location) in your browser, so your matches are still there when you come back. It stays on your device until you clear it.
- Session storage (admin only): keeps site administrators signed in to the admin area until they close the tab.
Third parties
- Google sign-in: if you use “Continue with Google”, Google's sign-in service loads on the page and may use its own cookies to know which Google account you're signed in to.
- Google Fonts: our font is loaded from Google's servers, which receive your IP address to deliver it. It doesn't set cookies.
- Cloudflare: our hosting provider may use strictly necessary cookies to protect the site from abuse.
- Platforms: when you click “Apply”, you go to the platform's website, which may set its own cookies, including referral cookies. Their cookie policies apply there.
If this changes
If we add analytics or advertising tools, such as for measuring ad campaigns, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
Managing cookies and storage
You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. Clearing humaven's site data removes your saved answers.
