Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information humaven collects, why, and your rights. The controller of your information is [Company legal name], [Registered address] (“humaven”, “we”, “us”).
What we collect
- What you tell us: your name, email address, main area of work, skills, years of experience, and where you're based. These make up your humaven account.
- If you continue with Google: your name, email address and Google account ID, which Google shares with us when you choose to sign in. We don't get your Google password or anything else from your Google account.
- Sign-in sessions: a random session identifier for each device you're signed in on, and when it was last used.
- Your matches: the tasks we showed you as your best matches.
- Technical information: the country your visit comes from (derived from your IP address by our hosting provider), your browser type, and the page you used. We don't store your IP address with your profile.
How we use it
- To create your account, keep you signed in and restore your answers on your devices (to provide the service you asked for).
- To show you the tasks you're most likely to get (to provide the service you asked for).
- To email you new opportunities that match your profile, if you agreed when you continued past step 1 (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
- To understand how humaven is used and improve it, using aggregated information (legitimate interest).
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with the platforms we list. When you click “Apply”, you go to the platform's own site, and whatever you give them is covered by their privacy policy.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare hosts the website and stores your account in its database service.
- Google handles sign-in if you choose “Continue with Google”, under Google's own privacy policy.
- An email provider will send our emails once we start sending them. We'll name it here when we do.
These providers only process your information on our instructions. Some of them operate outside your country, including in the United States; where required, transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
On your device
Your answers are also saved in your browser's local storage, and a sign-in cookie keeps you signed in. Signing out removes both from that device. See our Cookies Policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your account until you ask us to delete it, or until it's no longer needed after you unsubscribe, and we review inactive accounts regularly. Deleting your account also signs you out everywhere.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR and California law), you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your information, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent to emails at any time. Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
humaven is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

We'll update this page if our practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
